Ronald McDonald House program began in 1974 based on a simple idea: Provide a "home away
from home" for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. Since that
time, more than 10 million families around the world have benefited from the comfort provided
by a Ronald McDonald House. Click on chapter search
Hospital Hosts was created to provide medical travelers and their loved ones with a solution to
the lodging issue….a nationwide network of comfortable, economical housing options, ranging
from B&Bs to hotels to special facilities for hospital patients and families. And, sometimes, we
can even help you find rooms in private homes, with families who understand exactly what you’
re going through - because, in many cases, they’ve gone through it themselves.
Hospital hospitality houses: Hospital hospitality houses (HHH) provide free or significantly
reduced cost lodging to patients and their families while receiving medical care away from their
home communities. Unlike a hotel, HHHs provide opportunities for those going through similar
stressful situations to come together as a community where they can support one another.
HHHs have shared kitchens, common living areas and private bedrooms just like a home,
creating a warm and comfortable place far from home. HHHs help alleviate the financial burden
often associated with medical crises and have shown to reduce stress on both the patient and
family members
Angel Flight was created by a group of pilots who believe in the benefit of volunteering. We
strive to keep all aspects of the organization volunteer. We are a non-profit charitable
organization of pilots, volunteers, and friends. We will arrange free air transportation for any
legitimate, charitable, medically related need.
The Air Care Alliance is a nationwide league of humanitarian flying organizations whose volunteer
pilots are dedicated to community service. This ACA site will introduce you to us and to all the
groups we list whose volunteers perform public benefit flying for health care, patient transport,
disaster relief, environmental support, and other missions of public service.
